Project "unix name": unixconfig (unixconfig.sourceforge.net) ... The aim of this "meta-project" is to try to combine the best approaches from various Unix configuration tools, and create an easy-to-use, highly customizable, and consistent front-end to all aspects of a modern Unix system. The project is inspired by original article on freshmeat.net by Matthew Arnison. http://www.cat.org.au/maffew/cat/unix-config.html Short-term goal is to open communications with people working on linuxconf, webmin, kde control center, gconf, and others. The discussions need to be started as to what is the best approach, and how to leverage the existing tools. In the first few weeks we will be (hopefully heavily) using mailing lists, and forums, and gathering people, who volunteered to work on this (Matthew's article alone attracted about 20 people, who expressed desire to participate). Later on, this project may merge with one of the other configuration tools.
