There is NO way to determine which mirrors are the most up-to-date.

Some are quite behind and the two main ones (albeit not very reliable)
are usually the most up-to-date.

Unless someone tracks these or rates the mirros in order of performance
and recent-ness, it always a hit or miss whether you get a rcent copy
downloaded.  And it is very depressing to download 2+Gig of data to find
out it's old or no good.

There should be a better system.  I think that with the new relationship
between HP and Mandrake, maybe HP could help in this department (ie:
donating equipment to improve the mirroring) - call me crazy.
