After playing with Beta 3 for a bit, I'd like to report a few things. This is
not a complete list, as I'm hoping kernel -21mdk will cure some of my laptop
woes

Observations:

In Mandrake Control Center, "Mount Points" and "System Logs" still have the
question-mark icon.

Also in MCC, the terminology used for Security levels is not the same as used
during install. One is "Standard, High, Higher", the other is "Low, Medium,
High".

Quake and Wolfenstein used to hang my Radeon machine. Not so with '3. Would
this be due to the change to the Gatos drivers?

I have never been able to add a new package source in rpmdrake. This is with
both ftp and local directories. I get a very generic "Error occurred"
message. I'm sure it's something I'm doing wrong, but I can't find what. I
can add the sources just fine with urpmi.addmedia, after which rpmdrake is
happy.

BUGS:

Trying to select Date & Time in MCC causes it to crash.

While installing, I forced an error during package install. The system asked
if it should continue, which I said Yes. At the end of package install, it
reported a required package installation error, and looped back to DiskDrake.
Clicked "done" on partions, did the format, and the system reported "Can not
find HDlist" and looped back to DiskDrake again. I did this several times...
enough to prove that it was an effectively infinate loop.

Every time I suspend my laptop (and it successfully comes back, grin) my
system clock is off by five hours. This is very repeatable. Coincidentally,
I happen to be five hours behind GMT, and use local time for the hardware
clock:

I also am having problems with sound and lockups on suspend, but I want ot
put -21mdk to test, first
