Hi, When I open gnomecc > Advanced > "Window Manager Selection" and choose Enlightenment as my Window Manager and press ok, it waits 10 seconds before sending an error window telling that it timed out and that it will use the default: sawfish. I added a new entry called E with /usr/X11R6/bin/enlightenment and then everything worked perfectly...
It happens that I compiled E17 two days ago and installed it to /usr/local/bin but it segfaults when I try to start so I checked the default $PATH : [baal@mydotcom baal]$ echo $PATH /usr//bin:/bin:/usr/bin::/usr/local/bin:/usr/X11R6/bin:/usr/games:/home/baal/bin:/home/baal/bin [baal@mydotcom baal]$ Shouldn't /usr/local/bin be placed after /usr/X11R6/bin so people can compile and install programs without breaking the system? Also, as you can see /usr/bin and ~/bin both appears two times... I am not writing this to be helped with E17 or to be told how to modify my bash settings. This I can do, but many peoples can't do that... Regards, Baal
