Yes it's actually been happening since 8.1. Try clicking on a link in an 
email from ebay. It doesn't like those dll links at all. Ebay uses some kind 
of windows dll to broker html requests. Anyway right click on any html page 
on your local system then choose the option edit file type. Next make sure 
that your favorite web browser is at the top of the list. 

For  a while I had vi set for edit all my html pages and most the links I 
would click on in konqerer would download the page and pop it into vi. Try 
reading the web that way.
