This is quite odd, and the problem completely eludes me.

A snipet from the build:
<SNIP>
+ '[' '!' -r /usr/share/i18n/charmaps/UTF-8 ']'
+ '[' '!' -r /usr/share/i18n/charmaps/UTF-8.gz ']'
++ basename UTF-8
+ localedef -c -f UTF-8 -i en_US
/var/tmp/locales-root/usr/share/locale/UTF-8
/var/tmp/rpm-tmp.11939: line 71: 12021 Segmentation fault      (core
dumped) localedef -c -f $DEF_CHARSET -i en_US $LOCALEDIR/`basename
$DEF_CHARSET`
</SNIP>

It seg faults for every single one (though the build does continue).
However, this is not normal behavior (to say the least).
Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this?

NOTE: glibc 2.2.4 is build for my arch i686
