Well, this all beyond athlon arch, seeing that after I upgraded to the lastest rpm in cooker, the builds were all wrong. I'm actually quite confused (even after reading the linked message). With the latest rpm, the rpmrc file comes with a buildarchtranslates (arch_compat as well) foo_arch i386, for all of them. That just makes no sense to me what so ever. My knowledge of RPM (lack of interest in the past) is just know starting to get grainy, so I may be missing something here. But why bundle, so that no matter what arch you're on, you're going to build for i386... Obviously, if you're building rpms, you're usually doing it for yourself (i.e., optimization volition). So, what exactly am I missing ? : ) -- Bryan Paxton Public PGP key: http://www.deadhorse.net/bpaxton.gpg "Heedfulness: the path to the Deathless. Heedlessness: the path to death.
