And yes, make mrproper IS part of building with Mandrake. > > Why would building as root be just plain wrong? personally I like to build install kernels with one command string that i have as an alias kmake: make dep && make clean && make modules && make modules_install && make install so in order to do modules_install and install i would need to be root. Whats going to happen if i build a kernel as root that makes it so wrong, I don't see a problem security wise or elsewhere. Please explain
