If you need it still, I can reboot and let you know, but it just seems to be a problem
with the kernel modules.

As I just posted to another user who's experiencing problems w/ his
sound in the betas, in my modules.conf, I commented out two of the lines
concerning my sound card and the one that I left in there I had alias
the *real* device driver. Here's how it now reads with regard to sound:

# alias sound-slot-0 snd-card-ymfpci
alias sound-slot-0 ymfpci
# above snd-card-ymfpci snd-pcm-oss

It works and I have sound. If you'd like me to change it to it's
original state and report what the commands you asked for report, let
me know and I'll get that to you.

Thanks,

-Charlie

Puns are little "plays on words" that a certain breed of person loves to
spring on you and then look at you in a certain self-satisfied way to
indicate that he thinks that you must think that he is by far the cleverest
person on Earth now that Benjamin Franklin is dead, when in fact what you
are thinking is that if this person ever ends up in a lifeboat, the other
passengers will hurl him overboard by the end of the first day even if they
have plenty of food and water.
