Whereas, we'd have i686 down > to i586 up to athlon. The ordering isn't all that significant. You don't need it to be like that if RPM can detect your athlon as an athlon. If it detects it as an i686 however, and you make it build athlon packages (I forgot how to tell you how to do that in that case, will in a sec), you won't be able to install them, unless it sees your i686 (what it thinks you have) is compatible with athlon (like the packages you just built).
