I'm dealing with radio amatuers (hams), to the majority telnet is new,
internet linking of bbs's is also new, and the rubbish ,microblows s/w
cant cope with anything later than telnet,, ie. winpak
In most cases I have ipiptunels in use, that way they can use proto93.
which means their tiny minds only have to cope with typing 
" c <aplace>"
Thats it 7 characters and a space

getting them to login and a password...oh dear !!!
and as for ssh far too complicated
