i've seen reports guessing that some windows installation disable tcp checksums because zindoz tcp/ip stack was too slow because of its indecent design. wonder if that may be your problem. what i've seen is that in my iut (computer science school for those who find french strange with their acronyms love) big transfers were corrupted and even non linuxian people use linux to transfer big files ... look for the error ...
