I am not an expert, but this is where I might look.  If I'm wrong
another list member will correct me...

You should be able to create a 1x1 black "logo" and do it.  I believe
that the bootlogo itself is also a kernel module, in which case
compiling a kernel without should do the trick.

I boot up so seldomly that the boot logo doesn't bother me... ;o)
