Using attached script WP8 still segfaults.
Have not included strace but can do so if you wish.

Compiling was a problem.

[root@localhost charles]# gcc ld-linux.so.1.9.11 -lm
/usr/bin/ld: warning: ld-linux.so.2, needed by /lib/libc.so.6, may conflict with
ld-linux.so.1
/usr/lib/gcc-lib/i586-mandrake-linux-gnu/2.96/../../../crt1.o: In function `_start':
/usr/lib/gcc-lib/i586-mandrake-linux-gnu/2.96/../../../crt1.o(.text+0x18): undefined
reference to `main'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status

WP8 is something that neither of us, I am sure, desires to spend a lot of time
screwing with.
There are just to many other usable, good wordprocessors out there.

I will still, from time to time, endeavor to get it working but for now it is time to
move on.
We have a new distro nearing release to fine tune and get ready.

Thanks
