Will they not be fixed in 8.2, or forever? My best quick fix for now is to not do new disk entries in lilo.conf for updates, except for what you need to do for a new kernel. Don't do the search for other kernels. What is there is probably more reliable, as it may have been edited to reflect proper root disks, as earlier reported. I find this one of the more serious problems in 82. For a newbie this may be quite a problem. Mandrake will not update if there is a new kernel in the updates, and these boot entries still would duplicate. Installation will not complete! Keld
