I think this approach on Mandrake's part is pretty enlightened considering the anti-proprietary rhetoric I have seen from them before. I don't see them headed for world domination and they faced financial difficulties last year, so that particular model is no panacea. It will be interesting to see how Mandrake's model plays out. I wish them luck and congradulate them on finding a way to deal with commercial software.
