I will admit a lack of understanding on the subtelties on this, but I uninstalled dhcpcd and installed pump instead and it seems to work just as fast but also has the hostname show up in dhcp. I believe at one time pump was used by default in mdk? Is there a reason dhcpcd was chosen over this? Even if not using bind within a network, it helps alot to be able to see which computer uses what ip, even if it is only to setup a hosts file. ===== SI Reasoning [EMAIL PROTECTED] A requirement of creativity is that it contributes to change.
