Hello,
Did a clean install tonight off the RC1 cd-roms. There is a problem
with Trident - but is getting a LOT closer!
It installs the wrong driver - it HAS to install the 4.1.0 driver before it
tests the video, or the video will STAY totally messed up - the only way to
clear the chip is to power it off and back on. 4.1.0 should be the DEFAULT
driver for 9397DVD, if at all possible
Changing the driver in XFConfig-4 from trident to trident_41 and rebooting
gives the following errors:
(EE) LoadModule: Module trident_41 does not have a trident_41ModuleData data
object
(EE) Failed to load module "trident_41"
(EE) No device attached.
The driver itself is fine - renaming it trident_drv.o and changing the config
file to use trident instead of trident_41 works!
