I'm trying to install Mandrake 8.2RC1 in Bochs. It's not 'entirely' a bochs problem what happens to me (I like to think). I'm more concerned regarding the error handling in the Mandrake Installer for the moment.
What happens is that in stage2, the installer does 'abnormal termination'. As a result, the installer unmounts everything and tells me I can reboot. *However* I would like to have a look at the installer log and tell exactly what went wrong, but since everything is unmounted and the second console is unusable I can't. I would like to be able to either save the the log file to disk or have the installer not 'shutting down' everything when an abnormal event happens. --- Jeroen Janssen
