Wouldn't you be able implement something like 'press any key to continue' (unmount, 
etc)
when an an abnormal event happens? 
It doesn't have to be very advanced, I just need the installer to not shutdown without 
me
telling it's ok to do so (so I can have a look at the logfiles).
