Hi,

Little question very simple.
I'm recompiling cooker src.rpms on a AMD Athlon architecture. I've lot
of ready to install package now. However, I was wondering if my rpmbuild
--target=athlon --clean --rebuild was correct to do so. Of course I'm
using gcc3.0.4 to enable Athlon code optimizations.

Is --target in rpmbuild corresponding to -march in gcc options set ?

What are the option we may put behind a --target in rpmbuild ?

Some package don't compiling with --target=athlon due to a
"athlon-mandrake-linux-gnu" concatenation and outpour a rpmbuild error
(from spec I think).

Any clues ?

Cheers.
