I just had a quick look at gnome control center session management (I've not versed at all in session management) and session saving might not do all it should do (I'm not sure, and since I'm writing this from home, I can't do tests).. Anyway, try adding --init-session-settings in your ~/.gnome/session file for all restart command capplets.. I hope this should fix your background problem.. -- Frederic Crozat MandrakeSoft
