Is kde not important enough? I have the problem in netscape with some
netbanking app, that does not display a lot of things if I don't get
the right size. This means that I am not able to input the amount to
pay from the banking app.  And I also think something like abiword and
openoffice.org and staroffice uses the info to make markers on
centimeters in the document.
