Wouldn't it be easier to do a complete Mandrake RPM rebuild for Sparc, 
install the Sparc system/RPMs on a drive in an Intel box using the Intel 
installer, swap the disk across to the Sparc box and maybe later rebuild the 
installer for Sparc there?

Also, I have an SGI Indigo O2, which is MIPS based, that I'd like to get 
Mandrake 8.2 running on. I might have trouble finding a mainstream MIPS 
distro.
