Just an FYI, I've uploaded an SRPM of mtr-0.49 to ftp://ftp.linux-mandrake.com/incoming/. I just ran across it and thought it was cool. I'm still learning the art to RPM building, too, so if you've got any hints and/or tips feel free to pass them along.
Enjoy! Here's the RPM info -- Name : mtr locations: /usr Version : 0.49 Vendor: MandrakeSoft Release : 1mdk Build Date: Wed 27 Mar 2002 10:33:01 PM PST Install date: Wed 27 Mar 2002 10:36:30 PM PST Build Host : mindstab.zilbauer.com Group : Monitoring Source RPM:mtr-0.49-1mdk.src.rpm Size : 68703 License: GPL Packager : Robert Zilbauer <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> URL : http://www.bitwizard.nl/mtr/ Summary : A cool 'traceroute' and 'ping' combo for network diagnostics. Description : mtr combines the functionality of the 'traceroute' and 'ping' programs in a single network diagnostic tool. As mtr starts, it investigates the network connection between the host mtr runs on and a user-specified destination host. After it determines the address of each network hop between the machines, it sends a sequence ICMP ECHO requests to each one to determine the quality of the link to each machine. As it does this, it prints running statistics about each machine. ----- I tell you, I have struck depths that your little brain can't picture! I have seen beyond the bounds of infinity and drawn down daemons from the stars... I have harnessed the shadows that stride from world to world to sow death and madness... Space belongs to me, do you hear? -- Crawford Tillinghast
