I read the whole thread...and re-read it again just now...and see no answer, unless you mean the "/dev/port is hardware dependant" thing, which I wouldn't consider an answer (it gives no reason why cat'ing /dev/port should lock a box solid) Vox -- Pain is the gift of the gods, and I'm the one they chose as their messenger....
