I have installed the new kde3 rpms from ftp.kde.org. When i log into kde3, i get a message that the sound server couldn't autodetect which I/O method to use, and nothing running through arts works, although non-kde apps still work ok (xmms, mplayer).
Any clues on a fix? Is this a bug in the rpms. I note a couple of other people have had the same issue. Matt
