Thanks for looking into this, Danny. Btw, what is MandrakeSoft's strategy now when tools similar to drakfont, XFdrake and printerdrake are included in the desktop environments? Of course it's nice to have a DE independent control panel, but do you really have the resoures to give all the drak* and *drake tools the attention that they need? KDE 3.0 includes a font installation tool and a printer management tool, KDE 3.1 will include a X config utility. It seems like GNOME 2 will include a printer management tool and the XST (which is available today and are scheduled to be a part of GNOME 2.1) have a font installation tool and a X config utility. And I'm sure that there are other examples. When the drakconf project started the DEs didn't include that kind of tools, but they do now and what are MandrakeSofts thoughts around that? The main matter here is resources. Sure, if there are enough programmers to maintain all the drakconf tools, that's great! If not, maybe it could be a smart move to concentrate on the tools that don't have any counterparts in the DEs? Regards, Mattias
