I think they mean that the Mandrake RPMS are not stable/production
quality.

Well it is a .0 release.  They tend to have issues especially when it
comes to KDE.

Because not all applications run friendly under KDE3 yet.  Same reason
why lots of people kept KDE1 around for a while after KDE2 came out.
