Found it! One more question.. what is in your 'modules.conf' still have no sound, modules load ok... everything seems to be fine, I had similar problems with a SB-Live. sometimes I had to stop sound and re-start it to obtain sound. lsmod sound 57292 0 (unused) audigy 62496 0 ac97_codec 9600 0 [audigy] soundcore 4068 6 [audigy audio] modules.conf alias sound-slot-0 audigy alias sound-slot-1 audio anyone using sucessfully an Audigy like to share your views & modules.conf? and what do you recomend to use, artsd or alsa... Thanks a lot Sergio -- --=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Current Linux kernel 2.4.18-6mdk uptime: 10 hours 20 minutes.
