When I tried to mount the dvd device on /mnt/cdrom it said: specal device /dev/scsi/host0/bus0/target1/lun0/cd does not exist. I deleted both those long entries - then I could mount /mnt/cdrom and /mnt/cdrw. Is it worth persevering with devfs when kernel 2.6 will have the new driverfs? -- Peter Ruskin, Wrexham, Wales.
