I've been using fluxbox for some time now and thought I'd play around
with the settings. I noticed some things:
1 blackbox isn't installing 2 files that are in the RPM.
blackbox-0.62.1-1mdk
]# rpm -ivh --allfiles blackbox-0.62.1-1mdk.i586.rpm
Preparing... ###########################################
[100%]
package blackbox-0.62.1-1mdk is already installed
]# rpm -V blackbox
missing /usr/X11R6/bin/bsetbg
missing /usr/X11R6/bin/bsetroot
2 fluxbox uses bsetbg and bsetroot in all of its styles configs
(/usr/share/fluxbox/styles/) to set the background even though it
contains it's own commands:
]$ bset<TAB>
bsetbg-fluxbox bsetroot-fluxbox
3 fluxbox also has an annoying habit of automatically overwriting the
users ~/.fluxbox/init file with all the default values each time it is
restarted.
4 When updating menu's, menudrake writes the file to ~/fluxbox-menu
(blackbox style) and yet the init file uses ~/.fluxbox/menu. I had to
make menu a symlink to the fluxbox-menu file for menu's to update
properly.
