I don't think there is a good way to do a package of LIRC. At least not the way it's setup now. I seem to recall it isn't very happy about building with multiple drivers. Furthermore, I don't think there's a whole lot of interest in LIRC in the first place. Not that I'm saying nobody uses it. I myself use the program. But on only one machine. While I can't speak for vdanen. I know I wouldn't really look forward to testing yet another item that is tied to the kernel every time we have to put out a new kernel. (alsa and the few other items here and there are bad enough). At any rate as far as tying it to the kernel just make a specific kernel version requires. -- Ben Reser <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> http://ben.reser.org What difference does it make to the dead, the orphans, and the homeless, whether the mad destruction is wrought under the name of totalitarianism or the holy name of liberty and democracy? - Ghandi
