In talking with this guy, he's actually an experienced sysadmin, but apparently to the MS world. He's thinking about bringing Linux into his company and when he connected it to their (apparently high quality) KVM, Mdk freaked out. Now I can confirm that I've seen nonresponsive mice through a KVM, but that was only during the install (of 8.2). It has always worked fine for a normal bootup. Either way, until it exhibits the same behavior for a Cooker install, the message would be better served on Newbie or Expert rather than here. I'm contacting him to get more info and trying to duplicate it here. The guys in Paris have more hardware than I have at my disposal, but I'll see if I can find a definite positive. Blue skies...
