i have a microsoft intellimouse optical 1.0a ( not explorer ) and it
works without problems... under install i select USB|Wheel etc..

btw. try the mouse with the ps/2 adapter... and see if it works..

i know that using usb you get better response, but maybe you won't
notice it in CS :-)))
