Yes, and that works.

I made a automake1.6-1.6.1-2mdk (with the patch I posted) and then made 
a automake1.6-1.6.1-3mdk (raised the release number). The upgrade from 
1mdk to 2mdk to 3mdk worked fine.

The conflicts is only for everything lower than the %version, which is 
what we actually want. It does not affect the current version. If there 
wouldn't be a version on the Conflicts then it wouldn't work.
