OK, I Un-installed ALL the xmms packages, and installed them in stages. When I install xmms and the libxmms packages, it works with OSS without any problems.
When I add xmms alsa support (xmms-alsa 0.9-2mdk) THAT's where the error crops up. Does this need to be recompiled with 3.1, since the kernel and it's modules are now compiled with 3.1?
