Hello, I've been a little out of contact lately so excuse me if this problem was solved ages ago.
It sounds like you need to use the "soft" option in fstab. By default NFS mounts are "hard" which I believe means they will keep retrying for ever ! The "soft" option only retries a number of times before giving up. It may still take some time to re-boot or whatever, but it should suceed eventually. Owen > Is anyone else seeing this?
