Hey All,

I've run across what appears to be an error in the
binary rpm posted for KDevelop 2.1.1
(kdevelop3-2.1.1-2mdk.i586.rpm). Here's what I found:

When I installed the package, I noticed that the
executable wouldn't run. Through some digging I found
that the kdevelop script, installed in /usr/bin
was supposedly pointing at a supplemental executable
located in /opt/kde3/bin, but that executable was also
located in /usr/bin. Thinking this odd, I fixed the
script to point appropriately at /usr/bin instead.

That allowed the application to start, but half the
icons were missing, and there were other strange
things going on. Anyway, after some more digging, I
realized that the entire package had installed itself
with /usr as a root directory; version 2.1 used
/opt/kde3 as its root.

Going under this assumption, I did a "rpm -iv
--relocate /usr=/opt/kde3 --badreloc
kdevelop3-2.1.1-2mdk.i586.rpm" and everything operates
beautifully.

It appears that the scripts (and possibly the
executable itself) are expecting to find everything
located in /opt/kde3. Can anyone confirm this?
