[Cooker] problems with Xfree login with kde3.0.1

I've upgraded to kde3.0.1 and I ran a few other upgrades.. when I restarted X ... whatever I type as password on the graphic login screen it says login faild.   The users and root password are still working fine on text mode. so it should be something related with the X login screen.   Did anybody else have the same problem? Is there a way to login on X bypassing the login screen?   Thanks! -Marcelo
