As far as I'm concerned, that is completely fine.  If you have this
package installed, then KDE3 is the only KDE you have.  Thus you can
start KDE3 using /usr/bin/startkde if you don't want to use .kde3. "That
would be the login choice of "KDE" as opposed to "KDE 3".

For us "upgraders", this is very nice, since it means less pain of
moving configuration files... until we want to.
