For 8.2 the kde3 rpms are optional, so they install in /opt/kde3.
For Cooker and 8.3/9.0 kde3 will be default, so they are in /usr.
Textars rpms are in /opt/kde3 because they are built for 8.2.
So if that's what you want, then 8.2 might be the best option.
Or try to rebuild them on Cooker...
