Hi. I just noticed something strange. When I try to add a group using groupadd and the name of the group has > 16 characters, groupadd will fail.
However, when I use useradd to add a user with a name of more than 16 characters, it will happily also create a group with such a long name. So, either groupadd should succeed in all the cases useradd would succeed, or useradd should fail if groupadd would fail.
