Well, since the flaky listserver didn't send me one of these for -6mdk, I'll just follow up to this one. -6mdk's initscript doesn't exit, causing runlevel 3/5 bootups to hang indefinitely at starting sendmail. This is confirmed on the command line as well. I did a diff between the initscript of -5mdk and -6mdk, and saw a couple of changes like /usr/sbin/sendmail.sendmail instead of /usr/sbin/sendmail, and a couple of other small changes. I can fire this off from command line, and it hangs, but I can then <ctrl-c> and I get the green [ OK ], and a ps shows sendmail to be running fine. The script just doesn't exit on its own for some reason. Yes, I was patient - I left it alone for over an hour twice to see if it would eventually exit, and it never did. Rolling back to -5mdk fixed the problem. -- Brad Felmey
