I don't have a scsi scanner anymore, but I sent some scsi entries to Yves some
time ago.
I can't find it on the archive, or in my outbox, sorry.
If it's usefull, I've scooped the mail-archive:

http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg65083.html
$ cat /proc/scsi/scsi
Attached devices:
Host: scsi0 Channel: 00 Id: 00 Lun: 00
  Vendor: HP       Model: CD-Writer+ 7200  Rev: 3.01
  Type: CD-ROM ANSI SCSI revision: 02
Host: scsi1 Channel: 00 Id: 00 Lun: 00
  Vendor: Model: Scanner 636A4 Rev: 1.40
  Type: Scanner ANSI SCSI revision: 02

I myself used a microtek (2) scanmaker 630, connected with a buslogic bt930
scsi card.
sane output:
device `microtek2:/dev/sg2' is a Microtek ScanMaker 630 / ScanMaker
V600 flatbed scanner
cdrecord -scanbus  output:
1,6,0   106) '        ' 'Scanner 600A4   ' '2.21' Scanner
