I installed a fresh compile of GCC 2.95.3, and compiled Xine 0.9.12 with it, and it works, I mean the WMV stuff. Esound still doesn't work, but I haven't recompiled it itself, I'm not sure it's a compiler issue in that case. I cc'd this message to 3 lists, I hope it's not against the etiquette; I have questions for each of the 3: 1. What to do WRT the Mandrake Xine/Esound situation? It can't be shipped that way. 2. Does anyone using PLF Xine-plugins RPMs succeeds in playing WMV files? 3. Anyone working on Xine aware of the situation with W32DLL and GCC 3.1.1 on one hand, and of Esound on the other hand?
