A few things:

1) installing

The first message you see when installing reads something like: "You are
starting with an alternitave booting method. Please change the disk and
insert the instalation disk"

I read this and thought I incorrectly numbered the cd-r's, but I didn't, so
you are told to change disks when booting with the correct disk. The
instalation disk is also the only disk that gives that warning. Maybe a
re-wording would be in order there.

2) creating an account

Maybe some other default icons in userdrake (I know that is a pretty minor
detail though)

3) Running KDE (also most important)

The KDE KPersonalizer "first time wizard" runs every time. It ran every time
when I was running the first stable release on MDK 8.2, and it runs every
time in 3.0.2 on beta 1.

The temporary workaround for this is to go into
/home/YOU/.kde3/share/config/kpersonalizerrc

and add the following 2 lines

[General]
FirstLogin=False
