Doubt this is directly related, but don't use the xine DVD plugin for CSS-encrypted DVDs (ie almost all commercial releases); it doesn't do CSS. You need a different plugin like DVDNAV or D5D, both available in PLF, to play CSS-encrypted DVDs...if this isn't an encrypted DVD, apologies :) -- adamw
