CD Burners have to be detected as SCSI devices (using the ide-scsi
interface) to work - otherwise they will only operate as readers.  If I
remember correctly (I'm not a devfs expert), /dev/cdrom is supposed to
be a link to the SCSI device which would then allow all other cd access
to be "normal".

Works fine for me.  Do you mean "supermount"?  (the thing that is
supposed to automatically mount cds and floppies)
