CD Burners have to be detected as SCSI devices (using the ide-scsi interface) to work - otherwise they will only operate as readers. If I remember correctly (I'm not a devfs expert), /dev/cdrom is supposed to be a link to the SCSI device which would then allow all other cd access to be "normal". > Also automount doesn't seem to be working properly.
