Actually, is an odd story. For a long time they were two separate companies on paper, across the street from each other, with the same board of directors. They used to buy and sell parts from/to each other. For a while they were selling Seiko printers, as well as Epson printers.. my company used to service both brands. (that's how I got to know this story) They are now one company. Haven't seen a printer with Seiko's name on it in many years.
